Overview

Local Consultant to support Tirana municipality in implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal migration, return and reintegration of migrants, and diaspora engagement.

Tasks Summary

• Support the Municipality of Tirana to implement SOPs on internal migration, return and reintegration of migrants and diaspora engagement in a gender and minority inclusive way.
• Support the Municipality of Tirana in the distribution of Tailored Explanatory Guidance Materials.
• Support in delivering services in several channels including 'in-office', online, and outreach activities.
• Contribute to the organization of capacity-building activities, orientation sessions, and on the job training.
• Support the Municipality of Tirana in promoting employment for internal migrants, reintegrating returned migrants, and encouraging diaspora investments.
• Data collection related to internal migration, return and reintegration of Albanian emigrants, and diaspora engagement in local development at the Municipality of Tirana.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports describing activities, accomplishments, and issues impeding progress.

Experience Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Relevant experience related to migration, employment or local government would be an advantage.

Qualification Requirements

• Completed university degree from an accredited academic institution in social sciences, law, economy or other related areas.
• Postgraduate studies (Master or PhD would be an advantage).

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in Albanian and English is required (oral and written).
