Overview

This national consultancy aims to coordinate Assistive Technology (AT) related activities within the FSM government system, involving administrative and technical tasks to support the implementation of a project improving access to AT for school-aged children.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in establishing the national AT governance/steering committee and serve as its secretariat.
  • Act as a key communication and coordination focal point.
  • Assist in developing a national Communications Plan.
  • Assist the national government focal point in coordinating with the ATscale Secretariat and regional experts.
  • Facilitate the procurement of AT products and logistical arrangements.
  • Collect, organize, and manage all program-related documentation.
  • Provide general technical and administrative support to the National AT steering committee.
  • Provide data and information for ATscale biannual and annual reporting requirements.
  • Provide on-the-ground coordination and support for program activities.
  • Collaborate to identify and implement a digital platform for tracking service delivery.
  • Assist in supporting the development of national AT policy briefs, advocacy and awareness raising campaigns.
  • Contribute to policy integration of AT into national health/education strategies.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in public health or related special education field.
  • Proven technical expertise in health system, public health, inclusive education, field of disability.
  • Experience in programme or project support, preferably in the field of disability or a related sector.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity and experience of working with UN agencies is an asset.
Qualification Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in public health, special/inclusive education, or a related field.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of a local language is highly desired.

Contract Duration: 520 days over 24 months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: • lump sum amount for all the deliverables • breakdown for: Daily/Monthly Fees, In country Travel, Miscellaneous
