Overview

The consultant will support the implementation of a collaboration on population ageing and noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) by serving as a liaison, facilitating knowledge exchange, and coordinating meetings and events.

Tasks Summary
  • Set up and support regular/ad-hoc communications and meetings, including drafting agendas and meeting notes.
  • Track tri-party agreements and action items.
  • Provide first-line coordination for external announcements.
  • Map and shortlist potential academic/research partners in Japan.
  • Curate research examples/ideas and prepare short concept notes.
  • Prepare tailored presentations for potential academic partners and document meeting outcomes.
  • Convene thematic workshops with academic partners to co-develop proposals/pilots and produce reports.
  • Support knowledge-sharing events and produce post-event summaries.
  • Identify a sponsor pipeline and create sponsor-facing materials.
  • Produce and circulate a corporate newsletter/briefing.
  • Organize bilateral sponsor meetings and secure speaking/briefing slots.
  • Maintain a sponsor engagement tracker and prepare handover notes.
  • Prepare monthly activity logs and inputs for quarterly/annual reporting.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on coordination experience with government, academia, public interest corporations, or the private sector at international level.
  • Experience in healthy ageing/NCDs, brokering academic collaborations in research, corporate/donor engagement, and event operations.
Qualification Requirements
  • Essential: University degree in public health, medicine, administration, international relations, political/social sciences or related field from a recognized university.
  • Desirable: Advanced university degree or PhD in related field from a recognized university.
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluent in written and spoken English • Native Japanese language is essential

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 10 months

Work Modality: The Consultant will be working remotely.

Remuneration: Payband level A, USD 4,000 - USD 4,500 (monthly, part-time 50% FTE)
