Overview
The Communications Officer will support the compilation and development of case studies and success stories for the KOICA- and Save the Children Korea–funded INSPIRE project, ensuring the regular collection and packaging of photos, videos, and social media stories for external submission and use. The role also includes capacity strengthening of local partners in story writing and basic audio-visual content development.
Tasks Summary
- Collect case studies and success stories for the KOICA and Save the Children Korea funded INSPIRE project.
- Edit and finalize case studies and human-interest stories in coordination with the project team.
- Collect photos and captions from project sites, ensuring basic quality and consent standards.
- Support the development and implementation of social media content plans for the project, including regular posts and stories.
- Support media and content collection visits, including basic documentation and coordination.
- Ensure project branding and visibility requirements are followed in line with donor and organizational guidelines.
- Support basic capacity-strengthening sessions for partners on content collection, story writing, and use of simple audio-visual tools.
- Draft quarterly project newsletters and support other routine visibility products.
- Support MEAL and project teams in documentation, including preparation of project briefs and other visibility materials.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in related field.
- Strong writing skills in both Nepali and English.
- Solid understanding of storytelling and narrative development.
- Basic media relations knowledge.
- Exposure to audio-visual content production.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, Journalism, or a related field.
