Overview
Provide legal advice on Ukrainian law concerning project implementation, public works contracts, and engagement with local authorities. The role ensures legal compliance and operational continuity.
Tasks Summary
- Provide legal advice under Ukrainian law during project implementation and on local law issues raised by local authorities.
- Assist the project office in engaging with local authorities, homeowners, homeowner associations, and public building leadership.
- Provide legal advice on obstacles and risks under Ukrainian law affecting contract implementation and suggest remedial measures.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts for construction works and their annexes.
- Deliver detailed reports on legal research and analysis.
- Provide a legal opinion on options for project continuation.
- Review legal agreements and provide templates for agreements with homeowners, homeowner associations, and public building leadership.
Experience Requirements
- Relevant experience is work practising law in Ukraine.
- Solid experience in providing legal and regulatory advisory services related to public works and public works contracts in Ukraine.
- Desired: Experience of working in multicultural environments or UN system organizations in a developing country.
- Desired: Experience in development or humanitarian contexts.
Qualification Requirements
• Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Law or related fields with 7 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any of the above or related fields with 5 years of relevant experience.
