Overview

The Project Associate (Gaza Response) will support administrative, technical, and operational functions for the shelter team, participating in coordination efforts to facilitate shelter activities.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
  • Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyze, and present information/data on specific project topics.
  • Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation.
  • Follow up with implementing partners on progress of work and document challenges.
  • Draft correspondence on project issues and prepare/update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations, and other documentation.
  • Respond to complex information requests and inquiries.
  • Set up and maintain files/records.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Create tracking systems for shelter activities.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with partner NGOs, clusters, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Support in the preparation of technical drawings and BOQs for shelter activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture or related fields from an accredited academic institution with 3 years of relevant experience or High School diploma with five years of relevant working experience;
  • Relevant experience in management of implementing partners is an advantage.
  • Experience in liaising with national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups;
  • Experience in liaison with different partners to handle requests and queries from senior managers.
  • Experience in working in humanitarian responses and the OCHA-led cluster system is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in 3D Max, AutoCAD and Sketchup.
Qualification Requirements
  • High School Degree/Certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture or related fields from an accredited academic institution
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English is required (oral and written).

Languages Preferred: • Working knowledge in Arabic.

Contract Duration: 3.5 months
