Overview

The role focuses on strengthening immunization systems and accelerating the introduction of new vaccines in line with global and regional priorities. It requires integrated programme management and technical support to ensure high and equitable coverage of essential immunization services.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the unit in developing and updating immunization workplans, national immunization strategies database and assist in coordinating planning sessions, workshops, stakeholder consultations, etc.
  • Provide technical and logistical support for training and capacity-building activities, data-driven implementation, etc.
  • Assist in setting up and maintain real-time dashboards and monitoring tools for vaccine introduction and coverage including introduction status across 47 countries and 19 antigens; ensure 100% uptime;
  • Validate and analyze country data to identify bottlenecks and propose corrective actions;
  • Prepare regular progress briefs, presentations and reports for stakeholders.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience managing immunization or public health programs and strengthening health systems.
  • Skilled in designing and implementing health programs with expertise in theory of change development.
  • Strong skills in program documentation, including drafting technical reports, annual reviews, and knowledge products.
  • Experience in policy development, strategic planning, and capacity building for immunization.
  • Strong background in Gavi processes and dashboard creation.
  • Excellent coordination, planning, and reporting abilities with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven success working in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines and in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to use standard office software packages, Conversant with common IT software including eHealth tools.
Qualification Requirements
  • Master's degree in public health, vaccinology, immunology, epidemiology, infectious diseases.
  • Monitoring and evaluation certificate is an asset.
