Overview

The National UNV – Education Specialist provides technical, operational, and administrative assistance for learning and skills development programmes, with a focus on digital learning within the Country Programme.

Tasks Summary
  • Support programme development and planning, particularly for digital learning.
  • Contribute to situation analysis, research, and reporting on development trends.
  • Provide technical and administrative support throughout programming processes.
  • Manage, monitor, and deliver programme results, particularly for digital learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to collect and analyze information.
  • Suggest solutions for routine programme implementation and submit reports.
  • Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises and prepare reports.
  • Monitor and report on the use of sectoral programme resources.
  • Prepare draft inputs for programme/donor reporting.
  • Provide technical and operational support to programme implementation, particularly for digital learning.
  • Undertake field visits and surveys and share information with stakeholders.
  • Provide technical and operational support to government counterparts, NGO partners, and UN system partners.
  • Build and sustain effective working partnerships with government counterparts and national stakeholders.
  • Draft communication and information materials for programme advocacy.
  • Research information on potential donors and prepare resource mobilization materials.
  • Contribute to identifying, capturing, synthesizing, and sharing lessons learned.
  • Apply innovative approaches and promote good practice.
  • Research and report on best and cutting-edge practices for development planning.
  • Participate as a resource person in capacity building initiatives.
Experience Requirements
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in digital education (programme planning, implementation, management, monitoring, and/or research) is required.
  • Experience working in e-learning projects is considered as an asset.
  • Experience in maintaining documentation, filing systems, and record-keeping, report writing related to projects activities is considered an asset.
Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Fisheries and Resource Management, Environmental Science and Natural Resources Economics, Community Development, Business Administration and other Social Sciences or equivalent required.

Languages Preferred: • Swahili, Level: Fluent, Desirable

Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)
