Overview

The Humanitarian and Programme Coordination Analyst will support the Regional Office's work in humanitarian preparedness and response, and programme coordination.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the Regional Humanitarian Advisor in strengthening crisis preparedness and response, including EPP activation, CRT meetings, and MPA roll-out.
  • Prepare humanitarian updates, country office implementation documents, and briefing notes.
  • Support the quality review of UNFPA's Global Humanitarian Action Overview inputs.
  • Facilitate the inclusion of UNFPA's climate work in programmes and provide technical support.
  • Support the Regional Programme Advisor in developing country programme documents and preparing for relevant committees.
  • Conduct analysis of country programme documents and monitor regional programme implementation.
  • Maintain a knowledge management system for regional interventions and good practices.
Experience Requirements
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in programme management and/or coordination in humanitarian and relief operations at the international level.
  • Experience in programme/project management support is required.
  • Prior experience in fragile context countries is an asset.
  • Familiarity with the Arab region and issues related to SRH, GBV, and Climate is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of humanitarian architecture, UN80, humanitarian reset, Humanitarian Development and Peace Nexus (HDPN), and resilience discussions.
  • Strong track record of proactive engagement, interest in learning and co-creating, technical coordination, and ability to produce demonstrable results.
  • Good understanding of Results-Based Management (RBM).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture would be highly regarded.
Qualification Requirements

Master's degree in development studies, with specialized knowledge in the field of humanitarian studies, public health, social sciences, international affairs, or related field.

Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)

Work Modality: Onsite

Remuneration: Volunteer Living Allowance (USD 2,515.88/Month) Entry Lump-Sum = USD 4000 (one-time payment) Exit Lump-Sum upon completion of contract.
