Program Analyst - Population and Development

Overview

The Program Analyst - Population and Development will participate in the identification and formulation of country programmes and projects, draft concept notes and project proposals, and implement initiatives in the area of Population and Development.

Tasks Summary

• Participates in the identification and formulation of the country programme and component projects on population and development.
• Drafts concept notes/project proposals in the area of Population and Development.
• Implements initiatives in the area of Population and Development.
• Evaluates project and programme activities.
• Programme Analyst Population and Development systematically assesses the achievement of results.
• Coordinates project implementation.
• Contributes to creation and sharing of knowledge.
• Analyses and interprets the political, social and economic environment relevant to UNFPA activities.
• Analyses policy papers, strategy documents and national development plans.
• Supports senior officers in the establishment and maintenance of partnerships.
• Assists the Programme Coordinators to analyze the political, social and economic environment.
• Works with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to capture lessons learned and best practices.
• Provides data, information and evidence to the Programme Coordinator.
• Undertakes any other duties requested by the supervisor or the Representative.

Experience Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the area of statistics/demography.
• Experience in working with young people in humanitarian settings.

Qualification Requirements

Master's degree in In health, population, demography and/or other related social science field.

Languages Preferred: Arabic, Level: Basic, Desirable

Contract Duration: 12 months

Remuneration: • Monthly Living Allowance 2392.15 $ • One-time entry lump sum 4000$
