Overview

Support the ECHO Partnership Team in delivering the Plan International EULO workplan, with a strong focus on humanitarian funding. This role will help coordinate ECHO funding opportunities, support engagement with EU institutions, and contribute to project compliance.

Tasks Summary
  • Monitor and disseminate upcoming ECHO funding opportunities and thematic programmes.
  • Coordinate internal collaboration between National Offices, Country Offices, Regional Hubs and Global Hub colleagues.
  • Support offices throughout the full ECHO grants cycle — from application and design to implementation.
  • Deliver grants‑related training for staff at NO, CO and Regional Hub levels.
  • Carry out quantitative and qualitative reviews of active grants, identifying lessons learned and best practices.
  • Produce monthly updates and policy insights to inform internal teams of funding trends and strategic entry points.
  • Develop tools and guidance to support ECHO compliance and donor engagement.
  • Support humanitarian regional strategies with analysis of ECHO’s regional footprint.
  • Maintain organised databases and shared resources within the Plan ECHO GAM drive.
  • Represent Plan International at meetings with EU institutions (ECHO, EEAS) and civil society networks when required.
  • Participate in VOICE working groups, advocacy events, peer reviews, and sector‑wide fora.
  • Support preparation, coordination, and logistics for Plan’s participation in high‑level events.
  • Assist with organisation of internal convenings and cross-office coordination for external engagement.
Experience Requirements
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with DG ECHO or DG INTPA/NEAR (donor compliance experience is an asset).
  • Experience working with NGOs or international organisations, including humanitarian field experience.
Qualification Requirements

• Graduate degree or experience in a relevant field (e.g. international development, humanitarian aid, political science).

Other Details

Languages Required: • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Languages Preferred: • French or Spanish language skills.

Contract Duration: Belgian 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Work Modality: The post-holder will be expected to come to the Brussels EU Liaison Office a minimum of 2 days per week.

Remuneration: €3,121 gross per month. Some additional benefits include - 13th month salary, additional holidays granted by the organisation, meal vouchers, pension scheme and DKV cover, public transport reimbursement, representation fees.
