Overview
The Product Manager is responsible for defining and executing the vision and roadmap for the Financing product line, ensuring alignment with World Bank Group priorities and evolving client needs.
Tasks Summary
- Elicit business requirements and synthesize needs, pain points, and opportunities.
- Direct market and user research to inform product strategy.
- Define and communicate the product strategy, roadmap, and vision.
- Lead collaboration with the Agile Release Train for timely delivery.
- Design governance structures for the product.
- Balance new investments, enhancements, and technical debt.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication and build consensus.
- Serve as primary point of contact for the product.
- Oversee vendor relationships.
- Propose strategic investments and manage technical debt.
- Monitor financial management of the product.
- Define and track success metrics.
- Monitor product operational health and support volumes.
Experience Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science/STEM with 8 years of relevant experience; or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in product management for a complex product portfolio.
- Advanced expertise in stakeholder engagement, product performance management, value proposition development, data driven decision making, human centered design, product roadmap and requirement analysis, sprint planning and product development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated expertise in emerging technologies, systems thinking, change management, and innovation methodologies (e.g., AI, design thinking, agile).
- Experience working in large, complex organizations or international development settings and delivering solutions in a global delivery model.
- Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership, and experience in developing and presenting high-impact business cases, portfolio analysis to large stakeholder group.
- Knowledge of World Bank’s operations, governance, and organizational structure preferred.
- Knowledge of World Bank’s Financing domain, business value drivers, and operational constraints preferred.
Qualification Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science/STEM or bachelor’s degree.
- Certified in SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner, SAFe Agile Product Manager, Certifications in other areas such as Design Thinking, AI would be preferred.
