Overview
The Senior Human Resource Associate will be responsible and accountable for managing the Human Resource function in Country office Zimbabwe, under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Resource Management Officer.
Tasks Summary
- Participate in evaluation of staffing needs and assist in recruitment processes.
- Carry-out and coordinate pre-employment activities.
- Perform assigned roles in the organizational HR system, inputting, maintaining, and verifying data.
- Monitor attendance and leave administration.
- Carry-out and monitor Human Resource actions including preparation of documentation for separation, classification, reclassification, promotion, and disciplinary cases.
- Prepare, coordinate, and monitor reports on personnel matters.
- Update and maintain electronic and physical archiving systems.
- Monitor compliance with the performance evaluation process.
- Plan and coordinate the organization of Human Resources events.
- Provide information to staff on their entitlements and responsibilities.
- Assist in analyzing and resolving sensitive cases.
- Participate in inter-agency Human Resources related working groups.
- Provide guidance and training to and coordinate and monitor work of new/junior staff in the unit.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- High School diploma with six years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field with four years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook.
- Previous experience in SAP is a distinct advantage.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
