Expedited SVN - Information and Communication Technology Associate, for internal candidates only - 1 position

Overview

The Information and Communication Technology Associate will be responsible for implementing the activities of the ICT unit in Zimbabwe offices, providing end-user support and technical assistance for ICT systems.

Tasks Summary

• Provide end-user support and log all ICT support requests in the helpdesk ticketing system.
• Log all actions and steps taken to respond to an incident or complete a request.
• Assist in determining root causes and propose resolutions for reported incidents.
• Escalate issues to Tier 2 or supervisor when necessary.
• Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for ICT systems.
• Provide support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network and system devices.
• Install and relocate hardware, coordinate equipment servicing, and manage user accounts.
• Maintain an inventory of ICT software licenses and equipment.
• Assist in managing regular updates of patches and firmware for operating systems and software.
• Configure or assist in the configuration of servers and LAN components.
• Support the maintenance and upgrade of operating systems and end-user applications.
• Provide first-line support to IOM’s corporate applications and in-house developed software.
• Support the implementation of ICT policies and guidelines.

Experience Requirements

• Three years for university degree’s holder or five years for diploma (or High school) degree’s holder professional experience in networking environment (LAN/WAN) and Tier-1 level network/desktop support.
• Experience working with specialized international agencies (UN Agencies, International Organizations, and International NGOs) advantageous.

Qualification Requirements

• High School Degree/Certificate
• University degree / (High school or diploma) in computer science or a combination of relevant education.

Languages Required: fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish)
