Programme Intern

Overview

The Programme Intern will support the coordination, monitoring, and delivery of portfolio activities, with a focus on partnerships and implementation tracking. This internship offers practical experience in development within a UN environment.

Tasks Summary

• Support implementation of portfolio activities in line with the Annual Work Plan.
• Assist in coordination of activities with partners, ESOs, universities, and stakeholders.
• Support collection, organization, and basic analysis of programme and partner data.
• Maintain activity trackers, partner engagement logs, and programme records.
• Support organization of meetings, workshops, strategic convenings and partnership engagements.
• Assist in drafting meeting minutes, briefing notes, and progress updates.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor that contribute to the goals of the organization.

Experience Requirements

Qualification Requirements

• Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher);
• Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
• Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one year of graduation;
• Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program. Major in Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.

Languages Preferred: Working knowledge of other UN language desirable

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Interns may be given a stipend according to the UNDP Internship Policies, if is not financially supported by any institution or programme, such as a university, government, foundation or scholarship programme.
