Overview
The Communication Administrator will assist the National Project Manager in formulating and implementing project activities related to information, communication, and awareness. The role focuses on managing and executing communication plans, developing promotional materials, and coordinating with stakeholders.
Tasks Summary
- Assist in preparing annual and quarterly communication plans, including budget estimation and monitoring tools.
- Coordinate the day-to-day execution of communication activities.
- Organize and facilitate awareness campaigns, workshops, and project events.
- Track progress of activities against work plans and report delays or issues.
- Assist in preparing national subcontracts' terms of reference and identifying subcontractors.
- Assist in preparing job descriptions for national consultants and their recruitment.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality of communication-related outputs from subcontractors and experts.
- Coordinate activities of consultants and subcontractors, including contract management and review of technical outputs.
- Report issues or risks to the NPM and facilitate risk mitigation actions.
- Prepare periodical progress reports.
- Develop content for communications and awareness campaigns, including press releases, brochures, and news.
- Monitor the Project’s social media and online presence.
- Review project documents and materials for visibility guidelines.
- Serve as a point of contact for media and public questions.
- Lead dissemination of lessons learned and information exchanges.
- Develop and maintain peer-to-peer networks.
- Maintain contact and outreach lists with key stakeholders and beneficiaries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- At least three (3) years working experience in information, awareness and communication programs, preferably in the energy sector and energy efficiency is required.
- Proven track record in project management such as in meeting deadlines, timely submission of acceptable deliverables, etc. is required.
- Good appreciation of and strong links with government agencies, local government agencies, NGOs, mass organizations, academic and professional organizations involved in the energy efficiency area is required.
- Experience and proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), internet is required.
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master's or equivalent) in engineering, economics, environment, business administration, international relations, or other relevant disciplines with specialization in social sciences, public administration, communications or engineering is required.
- Alternatively, a first level university degree or an advanced technical college diploma may be acceptable provided it is combined with additional 3 years of professional hand-on experience that is directly relevant to the expertise required by the specific assignment.
