Overview
The Communications and Reporting Associate will work under the supervision of the Associate Protection Officer, carrying out a variety of functions related to communications, external relations, and reporting. The role supports the implementation of communications activities, develops communication materials, and produces donor reports.
Tasks Summary
- Support the implementation of communications activities for Belize.
- Monitor news and popular trends to contribute to reports and discussions.
- Forge strategic partnerships to produce and promote UNHCR content.
- Support the development of news-driven and authoritative content.
- Assist in research, preparation, editing and production of professional media and communications materials.
- Consolidate data and facilitate the preparation of periodic reports including Sitreps, Fact Sheets and other activity specific reports.
- Liaise with internal and external partners to gather information.
- Assist in the development of funding submissions, appeals and reports.
- Consolidate and provide inputs for donor reports.
- Enforce compliance with reporting requirements.
- May be required to assist in implementation of campaigns, events and other initiatives.
- May be required to undertake missions and field trips with media and other official visitors.
Experience Requirements
3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher. Experience implementing communications strategies, developing communications materials. Excellent writing and editing skills. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office applications. Experience in communications and public information.
