Overview
The National DTM Officer is responsible for coordinating the timely implementation of DTM tools and smooth data collection operations for all implemented DTM activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the key focal person between the DTM Coordinator and field teams, coordinating DTM activities.
- Provide technical inputs on data collection methodologies, operations, tools, and processes.
- Support the development of DTM operational procedures, training materials, data collection tools, and databases.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions for DTM data collection processes.
- Support data cleaning, data quality checks, verification processes, and monitoring tools.
- Support the tracking of operational timelines for data collection and monitoring progress.
- Support the adaptation of global IOM-DTM data collection operations and tools to the Sudanese context.
- Coordinate engagement between Area Focal Points for emergency response data collection.
- Facilitate training and supervise operations staff and Area Coordinators on DTM methodologies and tools.
- Carry out field visits to monitor quality control for DTM operations and support refresher workshops.
- Act as the DTM Focal Point for Red Sea state, coordinating data collection and training enumerators.
- Provide operational assistance to Area Coordinators.
Required Experience
- Two years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong track record in operations and programme coordination.
- Solid background and demonstrated skills in Microsoft Excel, Word Processing, and other basic data software.
- Experience in working in an international environment and in liaising with a variety of partners at all levels of the hierarchy and all cultural backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Migration Studies, International Relations, Social Sciences, Business, Management, Information Sciences, or another related field.
- Master’s in the above-mentioned fields.
