Conference Usher

Overview

The incumbent is responsible for preparing conference rooms and supporting high-level events within the Council Secretariat. The role involves coordinating with staff to maintain schedules and room readiness.

Tasks Summary

• Prepare conference rooms according to the schedule of meetings.
• Support high-level events.
• Coordinate and work together with Conference Planning and Audiovisual Infrastructure staff.
• Update electronic conference room seating plans.
• Ensure rooms reflect protocol rules and committee structure.
• Keep rooms organized, clean, and functional.
• Serve high-level clients professionally and timely.
• Act as a first point of call for conference customers for basic service requests.
• Keep abreast of political developments impacting committee organisation.
• Engage in training for digitisation and efficiency efforts.
• Present a professional appearance.
• Perform any other related duty as assigned.

Experience Requirements

• Experience of similar services (room usher, hospitality industry, etc).
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools such as Word and Excel as well as PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with the NATO committees and bodies composing the Organization (advantage).
• Experience using Adobe (advantage).

Qualification Requirements

• Successfully completed secondary education.

Other Details

Languages Required: • V (“Advanced”) in one of NATO’s official languages (English/French). • II (“Elementary”) in the other of NATO’s official languages (English/French).

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: Definite duration contract of three years’ duration; possibility of an indefinite duration contract thereafter.

Remuneration: • 3,695.20 Euro (EUR) Monthly
