Overview
Support the implementation of the UN Environment Management Group's workplan, focusing on system-wide environmental approaches, communication, and dialogues.
Tasks Summary
- Provide input across EMG workstreams.
- Conduct background research and analyse data.
- Prepare written documents including background documents, meeting summaries, concept notes, and reports.
- Develop presentations related to EMG's work.
- Organize and plan meetings, events, and webinars.
- Develop communication and awareness-raising content for online publication.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience with issues related to environment and sustainable development at the global or UN system level is required. (2 years of experience is required in case of a bachelor’s degree).
- Proven experience in writing reports, compiling analytical documents, or policy papers is required.
- Experience working with environmental coordination is desirable.
- Familiarity with the work of UN agencies on environmental issues is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced university degree in environmental studies, international relations and sustainable development or other related subjects is required. However, a first-level university degree in a relevant field, combined with and additional two years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
