CCAC National Coordinator for Thailand

Overview

The National Coordinator will lead the coordination and implementation of CCAC projects and engagement at national and regional levels, supporting Thailand's efforts to implement SLCP mitigation measures and enhance climate and clean air quality policies.

Tasks Summary
  • - Contribute to government buy-in for SLCP activities.
  • - Engage sub-national governments and civil society.
  • - Coordinate all CCAC activities in Thailand.
  • - Assist CCAC Focal Point in national SLCP planning, policy, and implementation.
  • - Support delivery of CCAC projects TH-24-002 and AGR-22-002.
  • - Work with project implementers for smooth facilitation.
  • - Support coordination between government sectors and ministries.
  • - Facilitate support for CCAC project implementers.
  • - Submit SLCP mitigation proposals to funding mechanisms.
  • - Provide guidance for investment plans/project pipelines.
  • - Develop a country analysis for Thailand.
  • - Update monthly on national developments.
  • - Join monthly calls with CCAC to share project updates.
  • - Coordinate on advocacy work.
  • - Participate in SLCP relevant events.
  • - Present at CCAC events and meetings.
  • - Ensure Thailand leverages CCAC partnership benefits.
  • - Add updated partner profile for CCAC website.
  • - Support integration of SLCP mitigation into Thailand's NDC/implementation plan.
  • - Collaborate with CCAC from across national government departments.
  • - Identify new opportunities for CCAC engagement.
  • - Other ad hoc outputs as agreed.
Experience Requirements
  • - At least 5 years of professional experience working in a field relevant to environmental management/science, climate change, economics, health, project management, finance, administration.
  • - Demonstrated ability to provide technical assistance to governments and other stakeholders is required.
  • - Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholder groups including national governments is required.
  • - Knowledge of the national policies in climate change mitigation and air pollution is required.
  • - A good understanding of short-lived climate pollutants, climate change and air pollution issues in Thailand is required.
Qualification Requirements

- Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in a subject related to environmental management/science, economics, health, project management, finance, administration, or in a relevant field.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English and Central Thai (written and spoken) is required.

Contract Duration: 12 months
