Overview
To support and facilitate the Technology assessment process as part of the NDC PAF project in Georgia, a national contractor is being recruited for the execution of activities in relation to climate change mitigation in the Energy and Buildings sectors.
Tasks Summary
- Prepare a Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) report consisting of three chapters: Situation Analysis and Fact Sheet, Barrier Analysis and Enabling Framework, and Technology Action Plan.
- Prepare one policy brief per technology taken to the TAP.
- Identify and establish links with relevant stakeholders.
- Collect, analyze and synthesize information and data.
- Organize consultative stakeholder interviews, meetings and validation sessions.
- Facilitate a co-creation process to incorporate input from stakeholders.
- Prepare and finalize the TNA report.
- Map stakeholders and prepare detailed work plan and sector specific stakeholder list.
- Conduct background research and prepare introductory chapter with a sector and technology specific Situation analysis.
- Conduct a barrier and enabling frameworks analysis for the deployment and diffusion of 2 selected technologies per sector in the Energy and Buildings sector.
- Prepare a Technology Action Plan (TAP) and policy briefs for 2 technologies per sector in the Energy and Buildings Sectors.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience with Bachelors degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with Master’s degree.
- At least 5 years of work experience in the Energy and Buildings sectors or related fields, preferably in Georgia.
- At least 5 years practical experience in relevant fields, including research analysis, stakeholder engagement and project management.
- Experience in an international agency or organization is desirable, preferably in Georgia.
Qualification Requirements
• Postgraduate degree in environmental management or other climate-related fields.
