Overview
The incumbent is responsible for supporting the coordination, management and planning activities in a systematic and organized manner, managing an effective system for incoming information, and drafting work plans, annual reports, correspondence and other planning documents.
Tasks Summary
- Support to office priority setting and decision making, including addressing high-level visitors, coordinating drafts of position papers, accompanying supervisor to meetings, preparing talking points, conferring with section/division heads, handling protocol matters, managing information flow, and developing a monitoring system for correspondence.
- Support to office planning and operations, including researching and synthesizing information for work-plans, collecting and drafting materials for office strategies, and assessing information for office initiatives.
- Support to events, meetings and conferences, including preparing and maintaining event calendars, contributing to logistics for senior management events, and coordinating background documents.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of two years of relevant professional work experience in external relations, public affairs or international development cooperation, preferably within the UN, or in a government institution, NGO.
- Prior experience of working in coordination, planning, or in an executive office will be an asset.
Qualification Requirements
A university degree is required in International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, or another relevant technical field.
