Overview

The Communications Intern will support the Partnerships Development Office (PDO) in creating and managing content for digital and internal platforms, and contribute to the logistical and technical coordination of PDO's events.

Tasks Summary
  • Draft, edit, and format communication materials such as briefs, fact sheets, reports, press releases, stories, talking points, and articles.
  • Support the documentation of project milestones through written summaries, photo captions, and human-interest stories.
  • Maintain organized records of content, communication material assets, and documentation.
  • Manage updates and postings on the intranet and social media platforms.
  • Support the creation and scheduling of digital content, including posts, visuals, and short multimedia materials.
  • Assist in maintaining shared digital platforms and ensuring content is up to date.
  • Support internal information sharing by drafting updates, announcements, and summaries for staff and partners.
  • Assist with online participation for regional meetings, including managing links, attendance, and basic technical support.
  • Prepare concise meeting notes or summaries.
  • Support the planning and logistical coordination of virtual and in-person meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Assist with event documentation, including agendas, participant lists, photos, and post-event summaries.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers.
Experience Requirements

While no prior work experience is required, some experience in content creation for social media platforms or related fields would be an asset. Excellent skills in graphic design software and video editing software is desired.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum First level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent), or be enrolled in a postgraduate program or have graduated from such studies within three (3) years prior to the start date of the intern assignment. The area of study preferably related to communications, journalism, public relations or similar is required.
