Overview

Contributes to EVAWG programme implementation, monitoring, reporting and partner coordination to support effective delivery of results, ensuring compliance with UN Women systems and survivor-centred programming principles.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide inputs to the design and formulation of the County Office’s Strategy Note, Annual Work Plan, programme/project proposals and initiatives in GBV prevention and response in humanitarian settings.
  • Update the team on GBV trends, protection risks and humanitarian developments affecting women and girls.
  • Liaise with government, GBV coordination structures and humanitarian actors.
  • Prepare briefing notes and background materials on EVAWG and humanitarian action as required.
  • Provide inputs to the annual work and budget plans.
  • Support the implementation and follow-up of project activities.
  • Support the selection and management of the civil society implementing partners of the project, including technical review of the proposals and capacity assessment of partners.
  • Review and follow up on partner narrative reports and ensure alignment with financial reporting in a timely manner.
  • Support partners in applying Results-Based Management (RBM) tools.
  • Provide technical guidance to partners during activity implementation and monitoring.
  • Maintain working relationships with partners to support the effective delivery of activities.
  • Identify partner capacity gaps and facilitate capacity-building support and training, as needed.
  • Support strengthening the capacity of GBV service providers, including the multisectoral GBV case management training.
  • Monitor project progress, including field visits with the partner, using RBM tools and agreed indicators.
  • Review, monitor and update the GBV Safety Audits developed for the six target districts in collaboration with the partners.
  • Support data collection and documentation of results, lessons learned and good practices.
  • Support in preparing mission reports, progress updates, and donor reports.
  • Contribute to the development of background documents, briefs, presentations, communication materials and knowledge products.
  • Document lessons learned and good practices.
  • Coordinate and organise advocacy campaigns, events, trainings, and workshops.
  • Prepare relevant documentation such as project summaries, conference papers, briefing notes, speeches, and donor profiles.
  • Participate in GBV coordination meetings as requested.
  • Participate in donor meetings and public information events, as delegated.
  • Provide inputs to resource mobilisation strategies and proposals; analyse and maintain information and databases.
  • The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organisation.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in development or humanitarian programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building, or other relevant programmes; experience with UN Women is an asset, as is experience working in other UN or international development organization;
  • Experience in GBV, EVAWG, and protection in both humanitarian and/or development settings is desirable.
  • Experience coordinating and liaising with local government institutions (particularly provincial and district levels) and civil society partners is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social sciences, human rights, gender/women's studies, economy, international development, or a related field
  • A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
