Overview
Oversee administrative support and assist with daily financial issues, including processing transactions, recording them in the cashbook, and ensuring financial compliance.
Tasks Summary
- Ensure timely bank and cash payments in accordance with DRC forms and National Law.
- Verify transactions are supported by proper documentation and authorization.
- Prepare bank payments and liaise with the bank.
- Monitor bank balance and maintain sufficient balance in country.
- Update cashbooks daily and manage petty cash.
- Perform regular cash counts.
- Request bank transfers from HQ.
- Ad-hoc Rebooking for accounts.
- Prepare monthly tax declarations.
- Maintain project and donor contacts, reports, and correspondence.
- Review grant agreements and map donor budget lines.
- Support annual financial statements preparation and submission.
- Establish, maintain, and reconcile the general ledger.
- Ensure expenses enter DRC Dynamics with supporting documents.
- Prepare monthly cash counts and support month-end closure.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
- Prepare monthly payroll and staff payslips.
- Prepare social security and taxes payment documentation.
- Prepare visa requests and coordination.
- Coordinate hotel and flight bookings.
- Perform other related HR and Admin tasks.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a similar position.
- Experience of managing and handling cash.
- Experience of working with UN or Non-Governmental organizations.
Qualification Requirements
• Relevant university degree (Finance, Accounting) or similar education.
