Plans, implements, and monitors Cash Transfer and Market Analysis programmes for the Economic Security Unit, ensuring alignment with delegation strategy and providing technical support.
Tasks Summary
- Follows up on, designs, plans, implements, and monitors CVA programmes and market-analysis.
- Contributes to the development of tools for evaluation, feasibility, program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Identifies data collection needs, performs quantitative and qualitative analysis, ensures proper reporting and visualization, and contributes to capacity-building activities.
- Contributes to market assessments, data analysis, and interpretation to design and select appropriate response options.
- Supports selection and contracting processes with service providers.
- Provides technical assistance to other departments on cash transfer aspects.
- Monitors food, non-food, Agro inputs, and livestock market trends, including price fluctuations and market functionality.
- Conducts market research and sector analysis following value chain development and market-based programming approaches.
- Ensures monitoring and compliance with ICRC Cash Standard Operating Procedures.
- Supports field officers to develop assessment reports and project proposals related to EcoSec interventions delivered through CVA.
- Provides technical support to sub-delegations for implementing and monitoring individual and group programs.
- Collaborates with the Analysis and Evidence Unit and field teams to implement post-distribution monitoring and reporting.
- Participates in Cash Working Group meetings, aligns activities with sectoral standards, and provides reports to supervisors.
- Maintains close collaboration with other humanitarian organizations to capture lessons learned and good practices related to CVA activities.
- Promotes the use of digital tools and platforms for managing CVA programs.
- Contributes to the department’s reporting cycle, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of cash transfer activities.
Experience Requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar field (cash transfer programming and market analysis)
Qualification Requirements
• University degree (BA) in economics or relevant field.
