Overview

The role holder is responsible for providing support to the Head of Risk and Compliance, advocating for a culture of compliance, and ensuring adherence to internal policies. The Risk and Compliance Manager will raise awareness and provide advisory support on safeguarding and compliance matters.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the organisation’s Head of Risk and Compliance in risk identification and assessment processes.
  • Provide insight support to award risk assessments (PART).
  • Facilitate risk management processes (Fraud Risk Assessment).
  • Conduct fraud risk assessments/compliance reviews as per the annual risk and compliance workplan, and prepare reports.
  • Prepare and update the SCARF in line with the risk management processes.
  • Facilitate the development of the risk register and support risk monitoring during the project implementation.
  • Facilitate risk escalation forms to document any local law or SCI policies potential breach.
  • Lead the update of COSFA in line with the risk management processes.
  • Lead the update of SCARF in line with the risk management processes.
  • Support in conducting the Partner assessment using the Partner Assessment Tool (PAT).
  • Provide support to ensure risk prevention measures are fit-for-purpose.
  • Provide support on internal control/ mitigation design for new projects or processes.
  • Provide support for risk prevention expertise to major humanitarian incidents.
  • Provide compliance checks/ audit reviews to provide assurance on key risk management controls’.
  • Support in planning and implementing the annual workplan of compliance / spot checks/audit reviews on key Management controls.
  • Conduct internal audit assignments in line with approved methodologies.
  • Review/attend key control meetings/ process and ensure that they are working & provide specialist input.
  • Support in reporting of risk versus appetite and management of escalations as appropriate.
  • Report incidents in Datix that affect ability of an organization to hit its objectives.
  • Conduct and oversee fraud investigations.
  • Conduct and oversee Child safeguarding investigations.
  • Support Data protection focal point in conducting data protection investigations.
  • Coordinate Fraud / investigator training.
  • Track progress of risk actions so unit head can provide appropriate annual assurance on risks.
  • Track audit/ investigation findings.
  • Ensure that all child and adult safeguarding measures are implemented and concerns are reported effectively.
  • Conduct regular visits to project sites of SCI and partners to ensure that SG reporting system is working.
  • Deliver Awareness / Capacity building training on Safeguarding to Partners.
  • Conduct/Coordinate CSG trainings to SCI Egypt country office visitors prior to their engagement with children.
  • Ensure safeguarding minimum standards embedded into humanitarian response plan.
  • Support Staff safeguarding focal point in conducting staff safeguarding investigations.
  • Coordinate with local lawyer timely resolution and alignment with local laws.
  • Coordinate with global legal business partners to ensure all Egypt country office documents, partnership agreements, contracts, and MOUs are following SCI global standards.
  • Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions to Focal Points on Risk management, Anti-Fraud and Safeguarding.
  • Organize and facilitate regular Focal Point meetings to review key risks, share updates, and ensure alignment on compliance priorities.
  • Provide ongoing support and oversight to Focal Points to ensure effective implementation of risk management and compliance activities.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a similar position within both the commercial and/or NGO sectors.
  • A programme experience, with strong analytical skills is preferable.
  • Willing to travel to support members directly or to relevant events as required.
  • The post also requires traveling to field offices.
Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce ; professional certifications such as CFE, CRMA, or CIA will be considered an added advantage.
