The Intergovernmental Servicing Assistant will contribute to the preparation and organization of intergovernmental meetings, including the Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR) and the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA). The role supports communication and correspondence with Member States and UNEP divisions.
Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Environmental Sciences, and Commerce
Languages Required: English, Level: Fluent, Required
Languages Preferred: French, Level: Working knowledge, Desirable
Contract Duration: 12 months (with the possibility of extension)

Remuneration: A UN Volunteer receives a Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) per month. The VLA can be computed by applying the Post-Adjustment Multiplier (PAM) to the VLA base rate of US$1,602. UN Volunteers are provided a settling-in-grant (SIG) at the start of the assignment and in the event of a permanent reassignment. UNV provides life, health, permanent disability insurance as well as assignment travel, annual leave, and full integration in the UN security framework. UN Volunteers are paid a Daily Subsistence Allowance at the UN rate for official travels, flight tickets for the final repatriation travel (if applicable).
