Leads the provision of strategic guidance to the UN Resident Coordinator and UN Country Team on sustainable development analysis, strategic planning, programming, financing, communications, advocacy, and partnerships. Manages the resources of the Office to provide support to the Resident Coordinator and the UNCT.
A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in leading strategic planning, sustainable development policy and programme development (economic analysis, partnerships, data and M&E analytics, communications) and management in the context of development cooperation or related area is required. A minimum of five (5) years experience with team leadership and multi-stakeholder coordination on the context of development cooperation or related area is required. A minimum of five (5) years of Financial and Operations Management at a senior level is desirable. Experience of inclusion strategies that promote gender equality, youth participation and inclusion of persons with disability is required. Experience in designing and implementing partnership and resource mobilization strategies is required. Prior experience as Head of RCO is required. Experience in promotion of knowledge management in the context of development cooperation is desirable. Prior experience in Eastern Europe and Central Asia region especially in a crisis complex setting is desirable. Experience in capacity development on digital literacy, foresight and innovation is desirable.
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent degree) in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education, or related area. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Languages Required: English is required.
Languages Preferred: Russian is desirable.
