Overview

Provide administrative and planning support to the Director General's Office and the Office of Policy and Coordination.

Tasks Summary
  • Conduct administrative tasks including schedules, appointments, meetings, and logistical arrangements.
  • Organise official international missions and prepare travel arrangements.
  • Draft routine correspondence in English, French, and Japanese.
  • Manage administrative tasks requiring approval, including staff missions and contracts.
  • Filter incoming calls and respond to general enquiries.
  • Identify priority issues and bring them to the Director-General’s attention.
  • Contribute to policy initiatives, programmes, and special projects.
  • Support the gathering of substantive inputs from NEA divisions.
  • Draft, edit, and quality-control mission books, decision-support documents, and other documents.
  • Conduct background research and analysis.
  • Support monitoring and reporting on assigned initiatives.
Experience Requirements
  • Proven relevant experience in a highly autonomous administrative role engaging with senior officials.
  • Experience working in an international environment is an asset.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage complex timelines, multiple stakeholders, and competing priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Experience preparing briefings, background notes, and coordination materials for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Familiarity with results-based management, programme monitoring, or project tracking frameworks is an asset.
  • Experience contributing to cross-cutting policy initiatives and special projects.
  • Strong understanding of strategic planning and policy cycles.
  • Excellent drafting and quality-control skills.
  • Experience preparing mission books, executive briefings, decision-support notes, and policy documents.
  • Experience producing clear, structured, and politically sensitive outputs under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of the administrative rules and procedures of the OECD or the ability to learn and assimilate such rules and procedures quickly.
  • High degree of discretion and ability to work and communicate effectively and with tact and diplomacy in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience managing conflicting requests according to strict deadlines and ability to work rapidly and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to write and communicate on a professional level in Japanese is an asset.
  • Experience supporting interactions with Japanese Stakeholders is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and to take initiative.
Qualification Requirements

University degree or equivalent experience in Public Policy, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

Other Details

Languages Required: Excellent written and oral command of one of the two OECD official languages (English or French), with a demonstrated ability to draft clear and concise documents; and working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the other.

Languages Preferred: Written and oral command of Japanese is an asset.

Contract Duration: Two-year fixed term appointment, with the possibility of renewal to a maximum of 36 months.

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Monthly salary starts at 5227 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
