Overview

The OECD is seeking a Translation Workflow Assistant to provide administrative support for the Translation Workflow and Resource Management Unit. The role involves processing translation requests, managing vendor information, and performing general administrative tasks.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in processing translation requests, including pre-processing of texts and figures, and delivering translated documents.
  • Format and assemble translations in the corporate editing tool, ensuring compliance with official rules.
  • Liaise with external translators, manage their profiles, and provide administrative and contractual information.
  • Process shopping carts, confirmations of delivery, and invoicing for external vendors and internal purchases.
  • Monitor payment information for external translators and track expenditure against contract thresholds.
  • Provide support with the localisation of bibliographies into French.
  • Assist the translation technology team in preparing complex charts for translation.
  • Contribute to preparing alignment projects and carry out simple urgent alignments.
  • Perform general administrative tasks for the Division, such as mission orders and timekeeping.
  • Liaise with the Resource Management Unit and Finance Team on administrative and budgetary issues.
Experience Requirements
  • Relevant experience as an assistant, preferably in an international organisation.
  • Previous experience or interest in translations workflow management would be an advantage.
Qualification Requirements

Good secondary education, preferably post-secondary.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and working knowledge of, or willingness to learn the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 24 month fixed-term appointment, with the possibility of renewal to a maximum of 36 months.

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Monthly salary starts at 3 878 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
