Overview

The role involves leading country monitoring assignments and contributing to the implementation of anti-corruption conventions and related legal instruments.

Tasks Summary
  • Leading country monitoring assignments, including preparation of reports, liaison with authorities, and overseeing monitoring teams.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis of laws, regulations, and policies related to preventing, detecting, investigating, and prosecuting bribery.
  • Preparing briefings, facilitating evaluation missions, and ensuring follow-up of recommendations.
  • Maintaining contact with WGB delegations, national administrations, internal OECD stakeholders, and other international organisations.
  • Working with civil society, non-governmental organisations, the private sector, labour, and media.
  • Representing the OECD in international conferences and preparing presentations.
  • Carrying out other related duties to support the WGB work programme and ACD's strategic priorities.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of eight years' experience with legal analysis relating to areas covered by the WGB’s work programme, preferably in a public prosecutors’ office, court, ministry, government agency, or private practice.
  • Experience in dialogue with governments and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of different legal systems and anti-corruption policy approaches across different countries.
  • Knowledge of corporate anti-corruption compliance and understanding of corporate policies to fight corruption.
  • Knowledge of criminal investigation and/or prosecution of serious economic crimes especially in the field of anti-corruption in one or more Parties to the Convention.
  • Knowledge of prevention and detection of bribery of foreign public officials.
  • Ability to write clearly and in a timely manner about highly technical subjects accessible to senior government officials and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with comparative data collection and analysis would be a plus.
Qualification Requirements

An advanced university degree in law preferably with a specialisation in criminal or anti-corruption law.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 12-month fixed term appointment, with the possibility of renewal to a maximum of 36 months.

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Monthly salary starts at 8 098.38 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
