Overview
The incumbent will provide technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for World Bank funded programmes, facilitating development planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
Tasks Summary
- Conduct and update situation analysis for health-related programmes.
- Contribute to programme goals, objectives, strategies, and results-based planning.
- Provide technical and operational support throughout programming processes.
- Prepare documentation for programme review and approval.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners on operational issues.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises and programme reviews.
- Prepare regular programme/project reports.
- Coordinate with field offices and conduct programme field visits.
- Provide technical and operational support to counterparts and partners.
- Build and sustain partnerships with government and stakeholders.
- Draft communication materials for programme advocacy.
- Participate in inter-agency meetings on health programmes.
- Research potential donors and prepare resource mobilization materials.
- Identify, capture, synthesize, and share lessons learned.
- Apply innovative approaches and promote good practices.
- Assist with oversight of research and ensure results are available for knowledge products.
- Participate as a resource person in capacity building initiatives.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: public health/nutrition planning and management, maternal and neonatal health care, or health emergency/humanitarian preparedness.
- Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
Qualification Requirements
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: public health/nutrition, pediatric health, family health, health research, global/international health, health policy and/or management, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, socio-medical, health education, epidemiology, or another relevant technical field.
