Overview
This position supports Partnership Specialists and senior management in coordinating and delivering the supporter recognition and development strategy to grow individual donors, retain them, and create a flexible funding source for UNICEF programs in West and Central Africa.
Tasks Summary
- Support the strategic orientation and implementation of the Regional Individual Giving (IG) approach.
- Act as the regional technical/delivery focal point for Individual Giving, ensuring day-to-day coordination.
- Coordinate with PFP, Communications, Finance, and ICT teams for effective IG implementation.
- Lead and support the development of the annual Individual Giving workplan and budget.
- Manage the design, execution, and optimization of regional digital fundraising campaigns.
- Support the testing and optimization of paid digital fundraising campaigns.
- Provide technical guidance and quality assurance to Country Offices for organic digital fundraising.
- Support donor acquisition, onboarding, stewardship, and retention activities for Individual Giving.
- Identify opportunities and lead structured testing for new and emerging IG channels.
- Support and operationalize regional donor journeys, ensuring consistency and mobile-first experiences.
- Analyze donor and campaign data for ongoing optimization and recommendations.
- Coordinate and drive value maximization and extra cash strategies across Country Offices.
- Support the strengthening of the digital fundraising enabling environment, including PSP integration and compliance.
- Contribute to the development and application of operational enabling environment, SOPs, and guidance tools for IG.
- Flag technical, financial, and operational risks and bottlenecks.
- Support in identifying, engaging, and retaining potential partners.
- Support the integration of communications, media, and influencer approaches into IG activities.
- Build Country Office capacity to deliver organic fundraising through workshops and technical support.
- Document and disseminate lessons learned and best practices across the region.
- Support the compilation of market, donor, and audience information to inform planning.
- Support the preparation of draft inputs for the annual workplan and budget.
- Monitor and analyze regional Individual Giving performance.
- Prepare concise operational reports and insights.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in partnerships, fundraising, digital marketing, communications, or related areas is required.
- Experience in an international organization, NGO or UN agency is an asset.
- Relevant marketing experience will be considered contributing to this work experience.
Qualification Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field is required.
