Overview

The Education Officer (Systems Knowledge Management) will support the enhancement of knowledge management for the Education Section and the Sector, contributing to organizing data, ensuring data quality, developing dashboards, and supporting capacity building.

Tasks Summary
  • Support in the operationalization of TREF-related data procedures and requirements;
  • Support in the processing of data for payments under TREF, including teachers-related payments;
  • Upgrade and manage UNICEF’s child-level data management system for out-of-school children including developing related dashboards;
  • Provide trainings and daily support to UNICEF’s Partners; and UNICEF focal points on data management systems and reporting tools (BMA and others developed by the Section);
  • Manage data, information and knowledge generated by the Section, the Education Sector or received from other sources;
  • Enhance and maintain the beneficiary monitoring and assessment (BMA) system used to manage information of children enrolled in UNICEF’s non-formal education programmes;
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to follow-up on results achieved under formal and non-formal education;
  • Develop data collection tools as needed;
  • Support in the development of indicators and monitoring plans and ensure regular monitoring of reporting and results.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience, at the national and/or international level, in in data analysis, data management, information management or related field or other relevant programmes;
  • experience with data systems is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization;
  • Required technical knowledge in the development of dashboards through analytical platforms like PowerBi or similar
  • Strong knowledge and previous experience in the development of data collection / survey tools (using ODK or Kobo…)
  • Previous experience in the cleaning and management of large databases;
  • Ability to gather, review, and analyze data for trends is required
Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.

Remuneration: • Monthly Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) USD 1,606.58
