Overview
The role involves carrying out trade defence investigations and monitoring the implementation of trade defence instruments. The selected candidate will be responsible for admissibility of refund applications and investigating exemption requests under the bicycle parts exemption scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the admissibility of refund applications for paid anti-dumping and countervailing duties.
- Investigating companies’ requests for exemption from anti-dumping duties under the bicycle parts exemption scheme.
- Conducting on-site visits within the EU to investigate compliance with the bicycle parts exemption scheme rules.
- Maintaining extensive contacts with importers/exporters, their legal representatives, and various Union producers.
Required Experience
- Background in accounting, customs, auditing, economics or law.
- Experience with customs issues, especially in tariff classification, customs nomenclature, origin and special procedures is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in the field of trade defence would be an asset.
Qualifications
- A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or
- A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years.
