Overview
The Procurement Clerk supports procurement services for UNDP projects and agencies, ensuring high quality, fast delivery, and accuracy. The role promotes a client-focused, quality, and results-oriented approach within the Unit.
Tasks Summary
- Supports implementation of sustainable procurement strategies and policies.
- Supports procurement processes for CO, projects, UN House and other Agencies.
- Assists in prioritizing procurement requisitions.
- Tracks all procurement processes up to delivery, acceptance and payment.
- Supports the supplier focal point in creation and updating suppliers in e-procurement.
- Prepares routine correspondence and reports on procurement.
- Extracts, inputs, copies, and files data from various sources.
- Maintains the filing system in the Procurement unit.
- Contributes to the implementation of sourcing strategy.
- Supports procurement knowledge building and knowledge sharing.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years with secondary education or 2 year with a Bachelor’s degree of progressive relevant experience in administration at national or international level is required.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.), knowledge of automated procurement systems and handling web-based management systems.
Qualification Requirements
Secondary Education is required; or University degree in Business Administration, or any related fields will be given due consideration but not a requirement.
