Overview

The Knowledge Management Officer will support UNICEF Syria's Adolescent Development and Participation (ADAP) programme by generating evidence, documenting field practices, and producing knowledge products.

Tasks Summary
  • Conduct field visits to document practices, case studies, and lessons learned.
  • Plan and conduct interviews and focus group discussions.
  • Prepare practice notes, success stories, and case studies.
  • Collate inputs for situation notes, activity updates, and results summaries.
  • Support the compilation of donor reports and briefing notes.
  • Develop slide decks for briefings, workshops, and donor meetings.
  • Produce knowledge briefs, FAQs, and one pagers.
  • Coordinate with programme, M&E, communications, and partnerships teams.
  • Maintain a shared repository of documents and a tagged library of photos, quotes, and maps.
  • Apply branding and visibility standards and respect data protection protocols.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience in youth civic and economic engagement programmes, or other relevant programmes.
  • Experience documenting Technical Vocational Education and Training, non formal skills, Cash for Work, youth engagement, or private sector partnerships.
  • Basic familiarity with result frameworks/indicators and ethical research with adolescents.
Qualification Requirements

Bachelor degree or equivalent in Economics, Social Science, Sustainable Development, Political Science, or other related fields

Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)

Work Modality: Onsite

Remuneration: The applicable Volunteer Living Allowance is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. Life, health and permanent disability insurance are included (health insurance for up to 3 dependents - except for UN Community Volunteers), as well as final repatriation (if applicable).
