Overview
The Associate Information Systems Officer is responsible for managing projects, analyzing systems, and providing specialized advice to users for moderately complex systems in a cloud-based environment.
Tasks Summary
- Manage projects involving feasibility studies, systems analysis, design, development and implementation of new, moderately complex systems.
- Develop detailed system and other functional specifications and user documentation for major systems involving SharePoint, Power Platform, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
- Provide specialized advice to users, analyzing users' requirements and translating these into new applications.
- Maintain, upgrade or enhance existing user systems; troubleshoot and provide continuing user support.
- Develop and maintain computer programs that require integration of many interrelated systems and program elements.
- Organize and perform unit and integrated testing, designing and utilizing test bases.
- Develop training materials, operating and user manuals; train staff in assigned systems.
- Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure appropriate planning and training.
- Research, analyze and evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for their deployment.
- Participate in writing reports and papers on systems-related topics.
- Facilitate communications between IMSS/EOS and its clients for good client relations.
- Serve as coordinator in the development of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between the client and IMSS/EOS.
- Handle all aspects of contract administration, including establishment of SLAs with vendors and chargeback policy for users.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights through graphs, charts, tables and reports using data visualization methods.
- Provide guidance to, and may supervise, new/junior staff, consultants, etc.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint and SharePoint Online sites, with proven experience in developing and customizing themes, web parts, and intranet solutions.
- Expertise in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) with developer certification in RPA technologies, such as UIPath, is required.
- Prior development experience in high-level programming languages such as .NET or Java is desirable.
- Exposure to Power Platform technologies is desirable.
- One year or more of experience in data analytics or a related area is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
An advanced-level university degree (Master’s degree or academic equivalent) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field may be acceptable in lieu of the advanced university degree. Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.
