Overview
The role involves performing maintenance on computer and communication systems and equipment, as well as tracking, diagnosing, and optimizing them to ensure effective and efficient use. The position requires continuous movement to WFP operational offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance operations on computer and communication systems and equipment, including tracking, diagnosis, and optimization.
- Maintain technology equipment, including computers, printers, and telecommunications equipment, with standard repair, configuration, and storage tasks.
- Keep the asset control system updated by recording equipment allocation and deallocation.
- Respond to task assignments from the TEC unit supervisor, ensuring adherence to standards and deadlines.
- Respond to various inquiries about technology and systems to assist WFP staff.
- Provide standard training to end-users on technology and systems.
- Systematically install equipment and software, including testing and troubleshooting.
- Install, commission, and maintain corporate digital tools for field operations, supporting staff and implementing partners.
- Assist in developing standard materials, such as training documentation and web content.
- Suggest improvements to methods and processes for continuous IT service improvement.
- Follow established emergency intervention processes and procedures.
Required Experience
Experience in maintenance procedures for computer and printing equipment, installation and maintenance of structured cabling, Ethernet and WiFi network typology, Access Point, Fortigate, Mikrotik, Ubiquiti configuration of cellular equipment and other satellite mobile devices, and first and second-level user support through Microsoft tools. Experience in advanced Excel and macros.
Qualifications
Completion of higher education. A higher education certificate (Technical and/or University) in Computing and/or Informatics will be valued.
