Establish a strong WHO presence to implement Country Cooperation Strategies aligned with Member States’ health development priorities, focusing on Non-Communicable Diseases prevention and control in the South Pacific Region.
At least five years of experience, with proven international exposure, in non-communicable diseases focusing on investigation, surveillance, and control. First-hand working experience at the country level, preferably resource limited country settings.
Bachelor’s degree in public health, or medicine, or health information management preferably with specialization on non-communicable diseases. Advanced degree (master’s level or above) in public health or public health administration or information technology or epidemiology with a specialization in disease control surveillance is desirable.
