Overview
The Gender and SRH Analyst supports policy analysis and the design, implementation, and monitoring of gender and SRH programmes in line with national priorities, contributing to the advancement of the ICPD Agenda and Agenda 2030. The role provides support to strategic analysis, knowledge generation, policy advocacy, and partnership development.
Tasks Summary
- Contributes analytical and technical inputs to the formulation and design of the gender and SRH component of the country programme and its associated projects.
- Supports achievement of gender and SRH programme results.
- Supports analysis of national and subnational trends, gaps, and challenges in addressing major gender and SRH issues.
- Provides analytical inputs to identify strategic entry points for new initiatives and inform future strategies.
- Synthesizes and documents key findings and lessons learned from country programme implementation.
- Writes success stories and best practices and drafts relevant materials for dissemination.
- Assists in the creation and documentation of knowledge about current gender and SRH issues.
- Contributes to the CO’s overall Monitoring and Evaluation framework.
- Assists in providing inputs to support the development and collation of measurable, reportable, and verifiable gender and SRH disaggregated data and indicators.
- Supports identification and development of key partnerships for South-South and global cooperation.
- Supports gender and SRH policy formulation and project implementation.
- Assists in establishing collaborative partnerships with experts, government counterparts, the private sector, research institutions and other UN agencies.
- Assists in positioning UNFPA as a technical lead on gender equality and SRHR.
- Supports the resource mobilization efforts of the CO by assisting in the preparation of relevant documentation, contributing to development of donor proposals, and participating in related meetings and public information events.
Experience Requirements
Experience in the field of gender, GBV and sexual and reproductive health and rights would be desirable.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced university degree in gender studies, public health, public policy, demography and/or other related social science field.
