Overview
This assignment aims to update and strengthen the existing database of talent networks and outreach channels across the Latin America and the Caribbean region. The selected volunteer will review, update, and complement the existing mapping of universities, professional associations, community organizations, and other relevant networks.
Tasks Summary
- Reviewing the existing database of universities, organizations, and professional networks.
- Verifying the accuracy of contact details and institutional information.
- Updating outdated or missing information (websites, emails, contact points, etc.).
- Identifying additional relevant institutions or networks that may serve as outreach channels.
- Expanding the database to include networks representing underrepresented groups when relevant (e.g. OPDs, indigenous networks, women’s networks, youth organizations).
- Organizing and systematizing the updated information using the template provided by UNV.
Experience Requirements
- Ability to conduct online desk research and verify institutional information.
- Capacity to update, structure, and organize databases (universities, NGOs, professional associations, networks).
- Strong attention to detail to identify outdated or missing data.
- Familiarity with the landscape of institutions and organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Preferably some experience in stakeholder mapping, institutional analysis, or information management.
- Key competencies such as independent work, organization, analytical thinking, and proactivity.
