Overview

Seeking a legal officer to manage ICT procurement and contracts, including cloud and software solutions, within the Directorate-General for Digital Services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leading a team of procurement experts responsible for the procurement of cloud and software solutions
  • Be actively involved in the development and implementation of efficient work processes for the team
  • Providing general legal advice linked to the works and mandate of the Directorate-General for Digital Services.
  • Assisting DG DIGIT in the analysis of any relevant legal issue. Management of contracts, calls for tenders and negotiations.
  • Creating processes that facilitate the delivery of quality and efficiency in recurrent types of procurement, mainly through the creation of guidance documents and templates.
Required Experience

At least 3 years of professional experience in public procurement, contract management, ICT law, contract law or other relevant fields.

Qualifications

University diploma in law.

Languages Required
• Have a thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU • AND a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of French is desirable.
Contract Duration
The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.

Remuneration
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances.
