Overview
The consultancy's objective is to conduct scoping, market, and investment analysis to strengthen food systems for children in Yemen.
Key Responsibilities
- Submission of a Comprehensive Inception Report detailing technical methodology, quality assurance, and work plan.
- Comprehensive report on Yemen’s food systems sensitivity and opportunities for local production of food for children under two and for treatment.
- Value chain and market assessment report with strategic recommendations.
Required Experience
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in food systems analysis, nutrition-sensitive programming, public health nutrition, agriculture, or related fields.
- Active experience in providing consultancy services on food system analysis, nutrition and food system investment/financial analysis for at least 7 years.
- Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive food systems analysis, particularly with an emphasis on nutrition outcomes for young children.
- Proven track record in financial analysis of nutrition-sensitive food system investments, with experience analyzing donor financing and investment landscapes.
- Extensive experience developing operational frameworks, theories of change, and monitoring and evaluation systems in the context of nutrition and food systems programming.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating and leading high-level consultative stakeholder workshops, engaging with diverse actors including government, UN agencies, civil society, and private sector partners.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree or higher in Nutrition, Public Health, Food Systems, Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
