Overview
The intern will contribute to the work of the Connectivity and Infrastructure Development Section by conducting research, compiling and analysing data, and supporting programme and project activities related to transport development in Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist officers in conducting analytical research on transport development issues, including policy, new technologies, and energy.
- Compile, process, and analyse information and data on transport in Africa and beyond, potentially using econometric skills and economic modelling.
- Support officers in conducting programmes and projects related to transport, infrastructure, and economic development.
- Carry out other tasks as required by the Section and the Division.
Required Experience
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Applicants are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent).
A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
