Overview
The Senior Coordinator EXTRA is responsible for the oversight and coordination of an EU-funded Project, ensuring prioritized actions align with organizational strategy and objectives. The role involves coordinating project activities, identifying collaboration opportunities, and advising on project-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Project staff and coordinate with involved units and directorates.
- Ensure compliance with INTERPOL policy and procedures.
- Update the Project’s calendar of activities.
- Liaise with the OSA-project Management Office (PMO) for budget and human resource planning.
- Ensure strategic action plans are in place and updated.
- Identify and realize opportunities for cross directorate coordination, collaboration and fusion.
- Liaise with INTERPOL units to gain support for analytical and intelligence-led activities.
- Ensure activities reflect Project strategy priorities and make recommendations.
- Represent INTERPOL and the Project at high-level events.
- Maintain a forward-looking diary for all Project activities.
- Oversee information management for the Project, supporting a global data collection strategy.
- Make recommendations for improvements in INTERPOL strategic analysis capabilities.
- Establish criteria for Project-related activities and conditions for INTERPOL participation.
- Develop and/or maintain detailed policies and procedures for the Project.
- Share best practice for strategic analysis.
- Set out minimal requirements for operational planning, information collection and analysis planning.
- Perform any other duties as required by the hierarchy.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in intelligence or crime analysis, particularly strategic analysis, preferably in an international law enforcement setting.
- Strong experience in implementing and managing complex initiatives and projects, preferably internationally or regionally.
- Strong background in supporting police work through operational and/or strategic crime analysis.
- Experience in resource administration/logistics.
- Legal/police knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of police training needs related to crime analysis.
Qualifications
• Five years’ completed University degree or equivalent, or law enforcement training at a similar senior level.
