Overview
This role provides technical coordination for health and nutrition programs, focusing on polio eradication, maternal and newborn health, child health, and nutrition interventions. It involves capacity development, research assistance, and resource mobilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in national and provincial Interagency Coordination Committees and forums.
- Conduct CGPP partners' meetings and organize review and planning forums.
- Organize regular meetings with health zone offices, community leaders, and stakeholders.
- Build partnerships between CGPP NGOs and other agencies involved in polio eradication.
- Strengthen provincial and health zone immunization systems.
- Support planning and implementation of supplemental polio immunizations and outbreak response campaigns.
- Support community-based surveillance for AFP/VPD case detection, reporting, and response.
- Coordinate integrated interventions for Maternal and Newborn Health.
- Coordinate integrated interventions for Child Health.
- Coordinate integrated interventions for Nutrition.
- Ensure the proper implementation of Global Health Security (GHS) activities.
- Provide capacity building for Health Officer staff.
- Ensure quality monitoring of all health capacity building events.
- Assist research in the field.
- Assist ME team in data interpretation and writing reports.
- Identify best/promising practices and success stories for documentation and dissemination.
- Share good practices among health zones and provinces.
- Support timely documentation and use of information to improve polio eradication activities.
- Contribute to the development of project proposals with Health components.
- Provide key ground data and information to the GAM team.
- Assist field staff in writing and ensuring timely submission of HN activity reports.
- Assist NO Health Nutrition Technical Program Manager in monitoring, supervision, and evaluation of health projects.
- Ensure project alignment with TA/TP and meets minimum standards.
- Ensure post-round independent monitoring and data review.
Required Experience
- At least Five years experiences working in international NGOs
- At least three years experiences in health program management, in immunization program, MNCH and Nutrition program is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing community projects
- Project management and design experience
- Project implementation and monitoring and evaluation
- Experience in Immunization and Disease surveillance
- Experience in MNCH and Nutrition
- Experience in Global Health Security (GHS)
- Experience in health Zone management
- Theory of change and logical framework development
- Database management, statistical skills and ability to critically evaluate health data
- Professional experience in training/capacity building
- Multi-sectoral/integrated program design and implementation
Qualifications
- University degree in Medical Sciences
- Master in Public Health preferred
- Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus note, etc.
