Overview
The female Case Worker is responsible for implementing case management services for first line response, ensuring project activities align with programming principles and donor regulations. The role requires a gender-appropriate approach to handle sensitive child protection concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, document, and respond to vulnerable children using CPIMS+.
- Conduct rapid assessments and provide emergency alternative care.
- Assess needs for material support and refer for Core Relief Items.
- Provide PFA to distressed children and caregivers.
- Facilitate safe and confidential referrals to service providers.
- Sensitize community focal points on CP case identification and referrals.
- Identify, assess, document, refer, and follow-up at-risk children and families.
- Provide information and advice on existing services.
- Collaborate with team members for case management.
- Work with community mobilisers to strengthen community relationships and referral systems.
- Collect and report information on child protection risks.
- Implement and lead PSS or other Child Protection programs.
- Supervise and follow up DoLSA social workers' identification process to case closure.
- Adhere to confidentiality and data protection protocols.
- Comply with Save the Children policies and procedures.
- Contribute to daily and weekly reports and participate in case conferences.
- Conduct regular visits to sites and Child Protection Spaces.
- Maintain files, registers, and records.
- Represent Save the Children professionally.
- Liaise with stakeholders and participate in relevant meetings.
- Collaborate with other organizations for information sharing.
- Represent programming with local government, NGOs, communities, and within SC.
Required Experience
- Prior experience in areas is preferred, with familiarity with the environment, camp management, and established relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience in Child Protection programs, particularly Home-Based MHPSS and Safe Families approaches.
Qualifications
• Basic education or adequate equivalent work/life experience.
